During the last seven years, I have had the opportunity to build, buy and sell many extraordinary waterfront properties here on Anna Maria Island. This is truly a special place. The time is now. Like the rest of the country, the real estate market on Anna Maria Island came to a halt late in 2005, and was quiet for months. However, during that time, we have seen our high-end waterfront properties actually increase in value by 5%. In the middle and lower range of the market, prices are off their 2005 highs by only 5% to 10%.
For all categories, this is a great buying moment. Recently we’ve seen a resurgence of activity and my colleagues at Island Real Estate & I believe we have passed the bottom, and the market has turned.
